Hi, I'm Niko. I like IT, coding, computing, radioing and everything related.
Feel free to contact me on any topic. :)
I like computers.
I daily drive a 2025 MacBook Air. It is way better than all Windows laptops I have ever owned. I also have a legacy computer with a Ryzen 7 7700X and 32GB of RAM, which I built myself.
I have a homeserver running OMV. I mainly run Jellyfin, Immich, an SMB share, NikoWoL (I love writing software I actually use), a Time Machine server, and a few others. It has a Ryzen 5 4500, 16GB RAM, a 512GB boot NVMe, and 2x4TB 5400 RPM HDDs.
I love collecting old, weird, and obscure hardware and experimenting with old, weird, and obscure software.
I love the environments of Portal 2 (especially old Aperture), INFRA (all the abandoned buildings are stunning), and the Dying Light series. All of them feel rich with history, especially with their beautiful decay.
More of my favorites include Portal(2), Minecraft and Dying Light(2), Firewatch(+ dev commentary!!!), The Stanley Parable, Road 96, UNDERTALE, The Entropy Centre and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Right now I'm really excited about the new Dying Light game's release. As of 2025-07-04, I have 100% achievements and 89.8 hours in Portal 2 and 118.4 hours and 76% achievements in DL2.
I'm not a huge radio nerd, but I enjoy messing with my SDR. One of the things I like doing is receiving images from weather satellites. I'm hoping to learn some more and get a ham license in the future.

I like programming. I mainly use Python. I am currently learning Swift. As of writing this, I am on day 21 of learning, and I am very happy with the progress I've made.
Some of my projects include a Wake-on-LAN client (NikoWoL), a ShareX server/link shortener, activation servers for old Rovio games, a Randonautica clone, and an Intel Arc clone. Keep in mind I haven't made all of those by myself.
Most of my projects are cool ideas I started and never finished.
If I know you and you want your 88x31 above, contact me.
